Riyadh, 18 December, 2018: The General Authority for Zakat and Tax (GAZT), in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Investment, continued its field inspection campaigns aimed at ensuring the VAT readiness and compliance of businesses with annual supply of SAR 375,000 or more, as well as educating them about how to register and the penalties resulting from non-registration by the December 20, 2018, deadline.

Riyadh – 16 December, 2018: The General Authority for Zakat and Tax (GAZT) issued a reminder that less than 5 days remain for businesses with annual supplies of SAR 375,000 or more to register in the VAT system, urging those who have not yet registered to go ahead and do so through the official VAT website (vat.gov.sa) before the Thursday, 20 December, 2018 deadline.

Riyadh, 12 December 2018: The General Authority for Zakat and Tax (GAZT), in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Investment, commenced a field campaign last week aimed at ensuring that businesses with annual supplies of SAR 375,000 or more are registered in VAT and ready for its implementation ahead of the registration deadline on 20 December, 2018.

GAZT calls on companies to file their tax returns before end of October

Riyadh, October 25, 2018: The General Authority for Zakat and Tax (GAZT) called on all businesses registered in VAT whose annual revenues from taxable goods and services exceed SAR 40 million to file their tax returns for the month of September before Oct 31, 2018 through the GAZT online portal (gazt.gov.sa). The same deadline applies to businesses with annual revenues from taxable goods and services less than SAR 40 million for their tax returns for the third quarter of the year.

GAZT issued 56 VAT violations against shops selling women's supplies in Jeddah and Dammam
